Air defense neutralizes 29 drones during night attack of RF

On the night of Tuesday, August 5, russian troops launched 46 drones and a ballistic missile over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize 29 UAVs.

This was announced by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of August 5 (from 07:00 pm on August 4), the enemy attacked with 46 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - the russian federation, as well as with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Bryansk Oblast - the russian federation.

"According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 am, air defense forces shot down/suppressed 29 enemy Shahed UAVs and various types of simulator drones in the north and east of the country," the report says.

17 UAVs were hit in the eastern direction, 1 ballistic missile, and the fall of downed (fragments) in 3 locations in the southern and northeastern directions was recorded.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of August 4, the russians launched 162 drones and an aeroballistic missile over the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces managed to neutralize 161 UAVs.
