Kyiv shelling: streets blocked, traffic restricted after night attack
On the night of July 31, russian troops launched a combined strike on Kyiv. Due to the consequences of the shelling, several streets and avenues in the capital were temporarily blocked, and public transport routes were changed.
First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Oleksii Biloshytskyi reported that restrictions are in effect on the following streets in Kyiv:
- Vatslava Havela Street (from the intersection with Akademika Shalimova Street);
- Yuriia Matushchaka Lane (from the intersection with Volynska Street);
- Ivana Dziuby Street (from the intersection with Vasylia Domanytskoho Street to the intersection with Vasyliia Kuchera Street);
- Post-Volynska Street (from the intersection with Vidradnyi Avenue to the intersection with Novopoliova Street);
- Akademika Shalimova Street (from the intersection with Zalisna Street);
- Volnovaska Street (from the intersection with Vatslava Havela Boulevard).
The Kyiv City State Administration clarified that trolleybus No. 27 currently runs only to the House Building Plant No. 3.
Recall that during the night attack, the Solomianskyi District suffered the most, where destruction and fires were recorded. Damage is also present in Sviatoshynskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Holosiivskyi Districts. Among the victims are children.
