SBI investigates road accident that killed MP Rushchyshyn

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is establishing all the circumstances of the tragic road accident that occurred on the evening of July 24 on the Mukachevo-Lviv highway near the village of Babukhiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region, in which Yaroslav Rushchyshyn, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Holos party, was killed. This is stated in the SBI report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It has been previously established that the Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by the MP, crashed into a trailer coupled to a tractor driven by a local resident.

The incident occurred in the dark, in conditions of limited visibility, as a result of the collision, the MP received serious injuries and later died in the ambulance.

Currently, the Prosecutor General has opened proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules, which caused the death of the victim).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 24, MP from Holos Yaroslav Rushchyshyn was killed in a road accident.
