There is decision by companies from France to start production of UAVs in Ukraine — Zelenskyy
A number of French companies are ready to start production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this today, July 21.
He said that today he had a meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
Zelenskyy and Barrot discussed military assistance to Ukraine, the country's need for air defense equipment, training of the Ukrainian military, and the results of meetings of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (the Ramstein format).
According to the President, Ukraine and France are ready to expand the production of weapons and military equipment.
In addition, there is a decision by a number of French companies to start production of drones in Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 18, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that Ukraine and the United States are working on an agreement on American investments in Ukrainian UAV production.
Also on July 18, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov stated that Ukraine had achieved results in the production of interceptor drones.
And on July 3, it became known that Ukraine and the American company Swift Beat had agreed to cooperate in the production of interceptor drones.
