SSU detains head of NACB department Mahamedrasulov on suspicion of aiding russia

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) have exposed one of the heads of interregional National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NACB) detective departments, Ruslan Mahamedrasulov, as doing business in the russian federation.

The SSU announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the case materials, the high-ranking official, stationed in the city of Dnipro, coordinates NACB activities in the front-line regions of Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia), while having contacts with representatives of the aggressor country and helping his entrepreneur father conduct illegal trade with the russian federation.

As the investigation established, he acted as an intermediary in the sale of his father's batches of technical hemp to the russian federation (Republic of Dagestan).

Information on Mahamedrasulov's contacts with russian special services and the transfer of secret information to them, in particular regarding planned investigative actions, is also being verified.

According to the investigation, the high-ranking NACB official was in close contact with the fugitive MP from the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, Fedir Khrystenko, who is connected to the russian special services and, as the investigation established, has significant influence on the activities of the NACB.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was also established that Ruslan Mahamedrasulov's father, Sentiabr Mahamedrasulov, has russian citizenship, but the high-ranking NACB official did not indicate this fact when applying for access to state secrets, thereby violating the law.

The suspect's mother, Iryna Mahamedrasulova, lives in Kyiv, but receives a pension from the so-called DPR and publishes pro-russian comments on social networks, in particular in groups with Z-symbols.

The SSU has evidence that in conversations she actively supports putin's war against Ukraine and justifies the war crimes of rucsists.

"Despite the fact that as one of the heads of the interregional department of NACB detectives, Ruslan Mahamedrasulov was supposed to be stationed in the city of Dnipro and be responsible for work in front-line regions, he was almost constantly in Kyiv, and also recently returned from an elite vacation on the island of Tenerife, where he spent several weeks," the SSU said in a statement.

The issue of reporting Mahamedrasulov on suspicion under Article 111-2 (aiding an aggressor state) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is currently being resolved.

Comprehensive measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
