LOT Airlines announces readiness to resume flights to two Ukrainian cities
Polish airline LOT has announced its readiness to resume flights to Ukraine six weeks after the establishment of stable peace and recognition of the country's airspace as safe.
This was reported by Avianews with reference to the airline's statement.
At the first stage of its return to Ukraine, LOT plans to resume flights from Warsaw to Kyiv and Lviv. The publication notes that these flights were the airline's main ones until 2022.
In the future, LOT may expand its route network by adding airports whose infrastructure will be restored.
LOT is also thinking about launching flights to Ukraine from regional airports in Poland.
The company is ready to attract four Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which are designed to carry 186 passengers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January 2024, the Office of the President of Ukraine announced that intensive work was underway to restore air traffic between Kyiv and Lviv.
We will remind, in August 2022, the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration denied information about the possible resumption of the operation of the Uzhhorod airport.
