In Odesa, workshop destroyed and equipment of city water utility damaged as result of drone attack

In Odesa, as a result of an attack by strike drones, equipment was damaged and the workshop of the branch of Infoksvodokanal, a water supply and sewage company in Odesa and the region, was completely destroyed. Infoksvodokanal reported this on Facebook.

Thus, it is reported that the repair workshop was completely destroyed and several dozen units of transport were damaged due to the attack by the Shahed.

"The russian Shahed attacked the car repair shops and the storage place of the company's special equipment, as a result of which several dozen units of transport were damaged. Mostly, these are the cars of our repair teams, in which employees not only get to the scene of the accident, but also carry everything necessary for repair work. An excavator, tanker trucks and mud pumps were also damaged. The premises of the repair workshop, auto electricians and engine drivers were completely destroyed along with the equipment," the company reports.

It is also noted that the consequences could have been much worse if not for the prompt actions of the company's drivers and mechanics on duty.

"Even before the arrival of the State Emergency Service, they immediately rushed to extinguish the flames from the tanker trucks so that the fire did not destroy all the equipment, and evacuated the surviving vehicles," the report says.

It is noted that none of the employees were injured, but it will take some time to restore the equipment and repair shops. After this attack, transport logistics and the work of the water utility's emergency crews will be somewhat complicated.

Infoksvodokanal hopes for the understanding of consumers and the fastest possible resolution of technical problems.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 30, russian troops once again carried out an attack with drones in the Kharkiv Region. As a result of the shelling, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, fires, and injuries to civilians were recorded.

Meanwhile, a new type of air defense unit will appear in Ukraine, which will be equipped with interceptor drones to combat russian drones.
