Ukraine is not in NATO, my task is to keep it that way – Orbán

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that NATO cannot have any business in Ukraine, since it is not a member of the Alliance, and his task is to keep it that way.

He said this after arriving at the NATO summit in The Hague, European Pravda reports.

"NATO has no business in Ukraine. Ukraine, like Russia, is not a member of NATO, and my task is to keep it that way," Orbán said.

He also does not believe that the Russian Federation poses a real threat to NATO, although, according to him, in the declarations of the Alliance summits "they constantly mention this."

"I do not think that Russia poses any real threat to NATO. Because we are much stronger," said the Hungarian Prime Minister.

He called the loss of competition in the sense of economy, but not security, the biggest threat to Europe.

As a reminder, Orbán previously stated that Ukraine's accession to the EU would lead to the bankruptcy of Hungary.
