Today, on the night of June 23, russian shelling damaged the sports complex, dormitories and several buildings of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It was reported by the Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on Facebook.
It is reported that there is no information yet about the victims of the attack.
"As a result of another enemy attack tonight, the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute campus was again damaged: sports complex; several academic buildings; four dormitories. There is no information about the victims among students/employees as a result of the damage to the university buildings. The university services have begun the elimination of the consequences," the statement said.
The university also asks those who wish to join in cleaning up the consequences of the attack and urges to stay in the shelters of academic buildings and dormitories during air raids. It is also noted that the information distributed in some news channels regarding the fire in the KPI building, destruction, etc. is not true.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as a result of the night attack by the aggressor country russia on Kyiv, significant destruction was recorded in residential and administrative buildings, as well as the death of people.
In addition, on the night of June 23, the russian occupiers attacked the Kyiv Region, resulting in three districts being affected. In particular, in the Bila Tserkva District, a hotel building housing a medical facility was destroyed. One killed person and several injured are known, including rescuers.
The apartment of the soloist of the Antytila band Taras Topolia and his wife, the singer Alyosha, was destroyed by a russian ballistic missile on the night of June 23. The singer's family was not injured. However, according to him, only the walls remained in the apartment - and even they were partially destroyed.
