Russia attacked Ukraine with 368 air attack means, 11 of which were ballistic missiles. How air defense worked
On the night of June 23, the aggressor state russia attacked Ukraine with 368 air attack means, including 11 ballistic and 5 cruise missiles. The air defense forces neutralized 354 targets, 10 of which were ballistic missiles and all were cruise missiles. The main direction of the enemy's attack was Kyiv. Direct hits were recorded in 6 locations.

Thus, from 8 p.m. on June 22 and during the night of June 23, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 368 air attack means:
- 352 Shahed-type strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russian federation (up to 160 of them - Shaheds);
- 11 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Taganrog and Bryansk Oblasts - russian federation;
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Kursk Oblast - russian federation.
The main direction of the russian attack was Kyiv.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
Previously, as of 9:00 a.m., the air defense neutralized 354 enemy air attack means, of which 158 were shot down by fire, 196 were lost by location:
- 146 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of UAVs) were shot down by fire, 193 were lost by location/suppressed by electronic warfare;
- 7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles were shot down, another 3 were lost by location;
- 5 Iskander-K cruise missiles were shot down.
"Direct hits of enemy air attack means were recorded in 6 locations, as well as the fall of downed (fragments) at 25 locations in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv Region," the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as a result of the night attack by the aggressor country russia on Kyiv, significant destruction was recorded in residential and administrative buildings, as well as the death of people.
In addition, on the night of June 23, the russian occupiers attacked the Kyiv Region, as a result of which three districts were affected. In particular, in the Bila Tserkva District, a hotel building where a medical facility was located was destroyed. One person was killed and wounded, among them rescuers.
The apartment of the lead singer of the Antytila band, Taras Topolia, and his wife, singer Alyosha, was destroyed by a russian ballistic missile on the night of June 23. The singer's family was not injured. However, according to him, only the walls remained in the apartment - and they were partially destroyed.
