IAEA reports on state of nuclear facilities in Iran and level of radiation after US strikes
After the US attacks on three nuclear facilities in Iran on the night of June 22, no increase in radiation levels was recorded outside these facilities. This was reported by the IAEA.
It is reported that during the night, three key nuclear facilities in Iran - in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan - were hit by the US army.
"Following the attacks on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordow, the IAEA can confirm that as of this time there have been no reports of an increase in radiation levels outside the facility," the agency said in an official statement.
The IAEA also stressed that it would provide further assessments of the situation in Iran when more information becomes available.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 22, US President Donald Trump announced the task of the US military to carry out airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities - in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
Trump declared the complete destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities and threatened even more powerful strikes in case of resistance.
The US does not reject the scenario of using tactical nuclear weapons against Iran.
Iran announced that it would not participate in the negotiations with the United States on its nuclear program scheduled for June 15. The reason for this decision was the recent Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
