3 European countries to hold foreign ministers' talks with Iran on Friday
On Friday, June 20, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi will meet with representatives of three European countries for talks in Geneva, Switzerland.
It was reported by CNN, citing Iran's state news agency.
The meeting will be between the Iranian foreign minister and his counterparts from the UK, France, Germany, and the European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas.
Araghchi told IRNA that the meeting will be held at the request of the European countries.
Meanwhile, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy traveled to Washington to discuss the situation in the Middle East with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The meeting will allow "continuing interaction with our greatest ally," the Foreign Ministry said, as US President Donald Trump continues to ponder Israeli intervention in the conflict with Iran.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed their army to increase the intensity of attacks on strategic and government targets in Iran.
