Death toll in Kyiv rises to 28, rescue operations underway - State Emergency Service

The number of victims in Kyiv has risen to 28 as a result of the massive attack by the aggressor country of russia on June 17. This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

"Rescuers have retrieved two more bodies from the rubble in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv. Thus, the number of victims of the russian missile strike on a 9-story building has increased to 23 people," the report says.

In total, 28 people were killed in Kyiv as a result of the russian attack on the night of June 17, 134 were injured. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

As a reminder, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine stated that the combined missile and drone attack by the russian armed forces on the night of June 17 is likely the deadliest attack on Kyiv in almost a year.
