"There is no more time to wait." Sybiha called for devastating sanctions against russia after another shelling of Ukraine
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called for the introduction of devastating sanctions against the aggressor state of russia, which has once again terrorized Ukraine with air strikes. He stressed that the russian federation rejects any meaningful peace efforts.
He wrote about this on the social network X.
"Another night of Russian terror in Ukraine. Kyiv and Odesa under heaviest attacks by hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles," the message says.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that the russians struck a maternity ward and ordinary residential buildings, killing and injuring civilians..
"Russia rejects any meaningful peace efforts and must face new, devastating sanctions. Already now. There is no more time to wait. Energy, including a lower oil price cap, banking, and secondary sanctions are among the most sensitive areas," Sybiha said.
He stressed that these sanctions are not just intended to support Ukraine, but also to partners, since such economic restrictions defund russia’s war machine, which is directed not only against Ukraine, but also at them.
"Equally important are steps to strengthen Ukraine, especially additional supplies of air defense capabilities," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 10, the aggressor state of russia attacked Ukraine with 322 air attack vehicles, including ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as 315 drones. Air defense forces destroyed 284 air targets, including all 7 missiles. In total, hits were recorded in 11 locations, the main direction of the strike was Kyiv.
As a result of another missile strike by the aggressor state of russia on the night of June 10, the St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv and the Odesa Film Studio were damaged.
Two men were killed in Odesa, nine more people were injured. The attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure: residential buildings, a maternity hospital, an emergency medical station, a private clinic, a sports complex, a zoo, a train station building, and cars of citizens were damaged.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that russian strikes with missiles and Shaheds are louder than attempts by the United States and others in the world to force russia to peace.
