Erdoğan wants to bring putin, Zelenskyy and Trump together in Turkey for peace talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said he wants to turn Istanbul or Ankara into a center for a peaceful settlement of russia's war against Ukraine. He said this during a press conference after a government meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Hurriyet reports.

"Today, as you know, a meeting of the russian and Ukrainian delegations was held in Istanbul under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. It was a truly wonderful meeting," the Turkish leader said.

According to him, Turkey seeks to become a key mediator in peace talks.

"My biggest dream is to bring putin and Zelenskyy together, as well as Mr. Trump, in Istanbul or Ankara. I would like to be present at this meeting to make Istanbul a real center for peace," Erdoğan added.

Recall that russia has proposed a ceasefire for 2-3 days, but only in certain areas of the front.

At the meeting, Ukraine and russia agreed only on the exchange of all seriously wounded prisoners of war, as well as all young soldiers aged 18-25.
