144 combat clashes take place on front during day, 54 of them on Pokrovsk axis
On May 21, 144 combat clashes took place on the front, the enemy attacked most of all on the Pokrovsk (54 clashes), Novopavlivka (19) and Lyman (17) axes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy carried out 90 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropped 144 guided aerial bombs, and engaged 2,492 kamikaze drones.
The enemy also carried out 5,291 artillery attacks, including 114 from multiple launch rocket systems.
On May 21, 144 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded on the front.
Thus, on the Kharkiv axis, the enemy tried in vain to advance 6 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamianka and towards Mala Shapkivka.
On the Kupiansk axis, 4 attacks of the invaders near Kindrashivka, Zahryzove and Nova Kruhliakivka were repelled.
On the Lyman axis, 17 clashes occurred near the settlements of Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna in the direction of Novoserhiivka, Olhivka, Novyi Myr and in the Serebrianskyi Forest.
On the Siversk axis, 2 enemy attacks were repelled in the area of Bilohorivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, 3 attacks were repelled in the area of Chasiv Yar and towards Predtechyne.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy attacked Ukrainian units 16 times on the areas of Dyliivka, Druzhba and Toretsk.
On the Pokrovsk axis, during the Defense Forces stopped 54 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Yablunivka, Zoria, Shevchenko Pershe, Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Troitske, Promin, Kotliarivka, Andriivka and in the directions of Popiv Yar and Novomykolaivka.
On the Novopavlivka axis, 19 attacks of the invaders were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Bahatyr, Odradne, Shevchenko, Vesele, Rivnopil, Novopil, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole.
On the Huliaipole axis, 3 attacks were repelled on the area of Vysoke.
On the Orikhiv axis, 4 attacks were repelled in the areas of Shcherbaky, Stepove and towards Pavlivka.
On the Dnieper axis, enemy units tried to advance once - they were unsuccessful.
On the Kursk axis (russian federation), Ukrainian soldiers repelled 5 attacks by the invaders.
The enemy also launched 17 air strikes, using 34 guided bombs, and carried out 191 attacks, 9 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 12 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, three command posts, one air defense system, five missile troops and artillery systems, and two other important objects of the russian invaders.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders on May 21 amounted to 870 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 20, 164 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked most of all on the Pokrovsk (44 clashes), Novopavlivka (33) and Lyman (30) axes.
