1,300 invaders per day: russian army lost 185,000 people since year start. What are losses of russians in equipment
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that since the beginning of this year, the army of the aggressor country of russia has lost 185,000 people killed and wounded.
This is evidenced by a message published on the official page of the Commander-in-Chief on Facebook.
"All units of the Defense Forces continue to beat the enemy along the entire front line. Each destroyed russian invader is a step towards a just peace," Syrskyi wrote.
Based on the words of the Commander-in-Chief, it turns out that since the beginning of the year, the russian army has been losing an average of 1,320 people killed and wounded every day.
If the level of losses of the invaders remains at this level, then in a year they will lose almost 500,000 people.
The Commander-in-Chief also published a video showing the "work" of Ukrainian soldiers on soldiers of the aggressor country's army.
What losses has russian army suffered since start of full-scale invasion of Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of May 20, the russian occupation army lost almost 977,000 people killed and wounded.
In addition, over more than three years of the great war, the russians lost more than 157,000 units of equipment:
- tanks - 10,835;
- armored combat vehicles - 22,569;
- artillery systems - 28,090;
- multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) - 1,388;
- air defense systems - 1,167;
- airplanes - 372;
- helicopters - 336;
- UAVs of operational-tactical level - 36,692;
- cruise missiles - 3,197;
- ships - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- automotive equipment - 49,169;
- special equipment - 3,895.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the day before, the American publication The New York Times wrote, citing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), that since the beginning of 2024, the russian army has captured less than 1% of the territory of Ukraine, losing more than 400,000 people.
