175 combat clashes take place at front during day, most of them in Pokrovsk and Novopavlivsk Axes
On May 18, 175 combat clashes took place at the front, the hottest Axes were Pokrovsk (65 clashes) and Novopavlivsk (24).
This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Over the past day, the invaders carried out 78 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, dropping 124 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, they involved 2,904 kamikaze drones for destruction and carried out 5,134 shelling on positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, including 116 from multiple launch rocket systems.
On May 18, 175 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded at the front.
Thus, in the Kharkiv Axis, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory and Stroivka six times.
In the Kupyansk Axis, two attacks by the invaders took place.
The Defense Forces repelled the enemy's assault actions in the direction of Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman Axis, the enemy attacked 22 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Tverdokhlibove, Kopanky, Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Lypove, Torske and in the direction of Karpivka, Olhivka, Zelena Dolyna and Hryhorivka.
In the Siversk Axis, in the areas of Verkhniokamyanske and Bilohorivka, the russians attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine six times.
In the Kramatorsk Axis, nine clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk Axis, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Petrivka, Shcherbynivka, Ozarianivka, Dyliyivka and Druzhba.
In the Pokrovsk Axis, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 65 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zvirove, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Troitske, Oleksiivka, Andriivka, Kotlyne and in the directions of Zori, Shevchenko Pershe, Muravka, Popovyi Yar.
In the Novopavlivka Axis, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 24 times in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Shevchenko, Vilne Pole, Rivnopil.
In the Orikhiv Axis, the Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults near Lukyanivka and in the direction of Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovsk Axis, enemy units tried to advance once, the attack was repelled.
In the Kursk Axis (russian federation), 18 clashes took place.
The occupiers carried out 19 air strikes here, dropping 35 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 236 artillery shelling.
In the Huliaipole Axis, no clashes were recorded over the past day.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck five areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an artillery piece, two command posts and another important enemy target.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders on May 18 amounted to 1,040 people.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 16, 145 combat clashes took place at the front, with the enemy attacking most frequently in the Pokrovsk (52 clashes) and Toretsk (19) Axes.
