Diia app will be separated into separate company with possible IPO - media

The Ministry of Digital Transformation has launched the monetization of the Diia digital platform and plans to separate it into a separate state-owned company with a potential IPO in the future.

This was announced by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during the DOU Day conference, Economic Pravda writes.

According to Fedorov, the monetization of Diia began in May and the platform may receive its first profits in June.

One of the first monetization tools is document sharing.

"Every month, tens of thousands of accounts are opened online through Diia. For example, 22,000 were opened with monobank in one day. Financial institutions are ready to pay for such services," Fedorov noted.

It is noted that the ministry is gradually working on separating Diia into a separate state-owned company, which in the future may attract businesses to the platform and even sell its shares.

"We will gradually separate Diia into a separate state-owned company. Perhaps then the company's shares will be sold (this is probably about preparing for an IPO - a public offering of shares on the stock exchange). That is, Diia will become a marketplace where businesses will be able to launch their own services and use our infrastructure," the minister said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Diia service plans to add an online function - employment for the civil service. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal of the Ministry of Digital Transformation to implement a pilot project on employment through the Diia portal.
