Air defense downed 41 enemy drones at night, another 35 UAVs lost in location

Overnight into Monday, May 19, russian troops launched 112 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 41 of them, another 35 enemy drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).

This was announced by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of May 19 (from 11:00 pm on May 18), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 112 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol and Millerovo (all - russian federation).

"As of 09:30 am, air defenses neutralized 76 enemy Shahed UAVs (drones of other types) in the east, north and center of the country. 41 were shot down by fire weapons, 35 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (without negative consequences)," the report says.

The Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad Regions suffered as a result of the enemy attack.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 16, the russians launched 112 drones over Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 73 of them, and another 36 drones were lost.
