Russia launches 4 ballistic missiles and 142 drones over Ukraine at night - Zelenskyy
On the night of Wednesday, May 7, the russians launched 4 ballistic missiles and 142 drones over the territory of Ukraine, half of them - Shaheds. Dozens of drones still remain in the sky. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Kyiv was hit twice. First ballistics, in the morning - drones. Now all services are on the ground, helping people. As of now, 7 wounded are known, including 4 children. Unfortunately, there are killed - a woman and her son. My condolences to their relatives and friends," Zelenskyy wrote.
He also noted that since the evening of Tuesday, May 6, there have been many strikes on the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk Regions. Rescuers were working everywhere.
"After the russian ballistic missile strike on Velyka Chernechchyna of the Sumy Region, the russians also began to use aerial bombs, shelling this area. It was at that time when rescue operations were underway," the President added.
He is convinced that only a significant increase in pressure on russia and strengthening of sanctions can pave the way for diplomacy.
"Any measures that will deprive the aggressor of resources for waging war must be applied for the sake of lasting peace. I thank the partners who understand this and help. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine with air defense. Russia must be responsible for what it does," Zelenskyy stressed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the prosecutor's office showed the consequences of the russian federation's massive attack on Kyiv.
