It's not me, but my wife liked it. Trump denies involvement in photo in image of Pope

US President Donald Trump said that he knew nothing about the image generated by artificial intelligence, where he poses in the image of the Pope. Previously, this image was published on Trump's official page on social networks.

Trump said this during a conversation with reporters.

When asked by a journalist about the outrage of Catholics over the depiction of Trump in a papal tiara, the US President said that it was a joke.

"Oh, you mean they don't get jokes. You don't mean Catholics, you mean the fake news media. Catholics liked it," Trump replied.

In addition, he disavowed the creation of the image, stating that someone else generated the picture.

"I didn't do it. I have no idea where it came from. Maybe it was AI, but I don't know anything about it. I just saw it last night. My wife thinks it's cute. She said, 'Isn't it wonderful?' But I couldn't be married then. I think it's the fake news media. Well, you know, they're falsifiers," Trump said.

He declined to specify why the image was posted on the White House's social media.

"Leave me alone. Somebody did it for fun. It's fun. We've got to have a little fun, right?" Trump summed up.

As we recall, the New York State Catholic Conference criticized US President Donald Trump for posting an AI-generated image of himself in the robes of the Pope on the social network Truth Social. This post also appeared on the official White House pages.
