Russians attack Ukraine with ballistic missiles and 116 strike UAVs. Air defense forces destroy 42 drones
On the night of May 5, the russian occupiers attacked the Sumy Region with ballistic missiles, and also launched 116 drones over Ukraine. Air defense destroyed 42 drones, another 21 simulator drones were lost in location.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
Thus, from 11:00 p.m. on May 4 and during the night of May 5, the enemy attacked the Sumy Region with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk Oblast - the russian federation, and also launched 116 strike UAVs and simulator drones of other types from the areas: Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo - the russian federation., Primorsk - TOT of the Zaporizhzhia Region.
As of 9:00 a.m., it was confirmed that 42 Shahed attack UAVs (other types of drones) were shot down in the east, north and south of the country. In addition, 21 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences).
The Sumy and Donetsk Regions suffered as a result of the enemy attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of May 5, russian occupiers attacked the city of Konotop, Sumy Region, with Shaheds and ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, an infrastructure facility was destroyed.
