Citizens will continue to pay for electricity at the unchanged rate of 4.32 UAH/kWh. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The government extends the PSO for electricity until the end of October 2025. This means that citizens will continue to pay for electricity at the unchanged rate of 4.32 UAH/kWh," he said.

Shmyhal added that in addition, almost 3 million families receive housing benefits and subsidies, which will be recalculated automatically on May 1 in connection with the end of the heating season.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers increased the electricity tariff for the population by 63.6%, from 2.64 to 4.32 UAH/kWh from June 2024, it was to be in effect until April 30, 2025.
