IKEA does not yet plan to return to Ukraine
Dutch furniture and decor company IKEA cannot yet return to Ukraine due to security factors.
The company said this in a comment to AIN, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report says that the store was previously expected to open in 2025.
"Our main priority for reopening the store in Kyiv is the safety of our employees and customers. We must also ensure that all other operational aspects, including product supply, are in place. We cannot say when this will happen at this time," the report says.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-February, the operations director of the Lavina Mall and Blockbuster Mall shopping centers, Dmytro Lashyn, reported that the opening of IKEA stores in Ukraine is expected in 2025.
At the end of June 2024, the Dutch furniture and decor company IKEA made a decision to return to Ukraine.
