Ex-deputy head of President's Office Smyrnov links suspicion of bribery to lack of prospects for illegal enrichment case

Former Deputy Head of the President's Office Andrii Smyrnov believes that he was served with a new suspicion of bribery because the case of illegal enrichment has no prospects for proof.

He wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Life hack from NABU and SAPO, how to catch a "big fish". When all the terms of investigation in the case (illegal enrichment) are expiring, and the prospects for proof are weak, then: Hand over a new suspicion for the alleged fact of accepting an offer of illegal benefit three years ago; Add to the pile the legalization of funds allegedly obtained by criminal means. Also three years ago; Write posts on social networks about being exposed for receiving a bribe, which contradicts the report of suspicion written by them," Smyrnov wrote.
