Transport visa-free regime between Ukraine and EU extended until end of 2025

The agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the liberalization of road freight transportation (‘transport visa-free regime’) has been extended until December 31, 2025.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The ‘transport visa-free regime’ between Ukraine and the European Union has been extended until the end of 2025. Thus, Ukrainian road carriers will no longer need special permits," he said.

Shmyhal noted that this is the fourth prolongation of the Agreement, which demonstrates its effectiveness and efficiency. According to him, Ukrainian exports by road to the EU increased by 42%, imports by road to Ukraine by 37%.

"The ‘transport visa-free regime’ is part of Ukraine's sectoral integration into Europe and a prerequisite for our membership in the European Union," the Prime Minister noted.
