AFU neutralize 1,290 invaders, 19 armored vehicles and 43 artillery systems. General Staff names RF’s losses over day

As of the morning of Tuesday, April 8, the army of the aggressor country, the russian federation, lost 1,290 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 19 armored vehicles.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to April 08, 2025 were approximately:

• personnel - about 926,310 (+1,290) people;
• tanks - 10,572 (+5) units;
• armored combat vehicles - 22,011 (+14) units;
• artillery systems - 25,860 (+43) units;
• MLRS - 1,359 (+3) units;
• air defense systems - 1,126 (+2) units;
• aircraft - 370 units;
• helicopters - 335 units;
• operational-tactical level UAVs - 31,917 (+43) units;
• cruise missiles - 3,145 units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tankers - 43,227 (+107) units;
• special equipment - 3,792 (+2) units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the losses of russian troops on April 2 increased by 1,390 to 919,570 people, equipment - by 22 armored vehicles, 49 artillery systems and 92 UAVs.
