Iran readies missiles after Trump's nuclear deal threats - media

Iran's armed forces have readied missiles capable of striking US targets following threats of military action by US President Donald Trump if Tehran does not agree to a new nuclear deal on his terms, the Tehran Times reported, citing its own data.

It said a significant number of these ready-to-launch missiles are in underground storage facilities scattered across the country designed to withstand air strikes.

Since his inauguration in January, Trump has repeatedly said he will bomb Iran if the country does not make the concessions he wants.

These concessions reportedly include completely dismantling its nuclear program, ties to certain groups, and some aspects of its missile and drone program. The Iranians refuse to negotiate with the US under the current circumstances, saying they are ready to respond decisively to any aggression.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 7, Trump announced that he had handed over a letter to the Iranian leadership with a proposal to conclude a new nuclear agreement.

US President Donald Trump demanded that the Iranian leadership conclude a new nuclear agreement within the next two months. He also threatened Tehran with consequences if it refused.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the Islamic Republic rejects direct negotiations with the United States over its rapidly developing nuclear program.
