I will impose 25% tariff on all russian oil if russia does not cease fire in Ukraine – Trump

US President Donald Trump said that he will impose secondary tariffs on russian oil and petroleum products if the aggressor country russia does not comply with the ceasefire agreement. Trump said this in a telephone interview with NBC News on Sunday, March 30.

According to him, secondary tariffs on russian oil will be imposed if the ceasefire agreement does not apply due to russia's fault. The US President emphasized that the tariffs will apply to oil and petroleum products from russia.

"If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia," Trump said.

This means that if you buy oil from russia, you will not be able to do business in the United States, Trump stressed. The tariffs will take effect within a month if russia does not comply with the ceasefire agreement, the head of the White House emphasized.
