Trump admits putin may be "delaying" peace deal
US President Donald Trump has admitted that russian dictator vladimir putin may be trying to delay and postpone a full ceasefire with Ukraine. This was reported by Politico on Wednesday, March 26.
Trump said he still believes in russia's intention to eventually end the war against Ukraine. According to him, although russia wants to end its full-scale invasion, it may be dragging out the process.
"But it's entirely possible that they're dragging it out. I've been doing it for years. You know, I don't want to sign a contract, I want to kind of stay in the game, but maybe I don't want to do it at all, I'm not sure," the US President said.
Trump also added that he has used such tactics in his past affairs to buy time.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 25, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said following the negotiations that all parties had agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea.
Following the negotiations between the United States, Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia in Saudi Arabia, all parties agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and to implement a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.
On March 26, Advisor to the President of Ukraine Dmytro Lytvyn said that after the declaration of a ceasefire regarding strikes on energy facilities, at least eight hits on Ukrainian energy facilities have been recorded since March 18.
