Last night, there were 117 pieces of evidence of russia prolonging war in sky of Ukraine – Zelenskyy
On the night of March 26, the aggressor country russia attacked Ukraine with 117 strike drones, which after the ceasefire negotiations is proof that the russian federation is not going to make real peace.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Last night, there were another 117 pieces of evidence of Russia prolonging this war in our sky - 117 strike drones, most of which were Shaheds. A significant part was shot down by our defenders," he said.
Zelenskyy said that the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Cherkasy and other regions were under russian attack, there was a large-scale drone strike on Kryvyi Rih - a local enterprise, civilian infrastructure, in Okhtyrka in the Sumy region, houses, shops, and ordinary infrastructure were damaged. Communities in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia Regions were also under attack.
"Strong steps from the world and obvious pressure on Russia are needed - more pressure, more sanctions from the US, so that Russian strikes stop. Launching such large-scale strikes after ceasefire talks is a clear demonstration to everyone in the world that Moscow is not going to make real peace," the President noted.
Zelenskyy stressed that since March 11, there has been an American offer of complete silence, a complete cessation of strikes, and after that, russia has been repeating "no" with its strikes every night in response to the partners' peace offer.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 25, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that following the negotiations on March 23-25 between the US and Ukrainian delegations and the US and russia in Saudi Arabia, all parties agreed to ensure safe shipping in the Black Sea and to introduce a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.
