Zelenskyy says what Ukraine will do in case of ceasefire violation by russian federation
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the delegations of Ukraine and the United States at a meeting in Saudi Arabia agreed on how Kyiv would react to possible ceasefire violations by the aggressor country russia.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Zelenskyy said this today, March 25, during a meeting with media representatives.
According to him, the statement following the negotiations does not mention the consequences if one of the parties violates the ceasefire.
"I understand why: the American side really wanted all this not to break down, so they did not want to go into many details," Zelenskyy said.
However, the President added that the Ukrainian team raised the issue of violating the ceasefire.
"Today, we have such an answer that if we see that someone is violating, as we believe, we appeal to the American side through all our lines with those facts and evidence," Zelenskyy added.
The head of state did not specify what should follow this.
Recall that the delegations of Ukraine and the United States held two rounds of negotiations in Saudi Arabia. One of them took place on March 23. After that, on March 24, the American team met with representatives of russia. And the next day, on March 25, the second meeting of the teams from Ukraine and the United States took place.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said following the negotiations that all parties agreed to ensure the safety of shipping in the Black Sea.
In addition, the participants in the negotiations agreed to implement a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure facilities.
The White House also published a statement following the meeting of the American and russian delegations in Saudi Arabia. It states that Washington and moscow also agreed on safe shipping in the Black Sea.
