Musk states that cyberattack on X (Twitter) was carried out from Ukrainian IP addresses

American billionaire and civil servant Elon Musk said that the cyberattack that the social network X (formerly Twitter) suffered the day before was allegedly carried out from the territory of Ukraine.

Musk made the corresponding statement in an interview with Fox Business on Monday, March 10.

This is reported by Deutsche Welle.

According to Musk, the computer systems involved in the attack on his social network allegedly had Ukrainian IP addresses.

The billionaire did not provide any evidence to support his words.

The publication writes that some cybersecurity experts believe that the use of Ukrainian IP addresses does not mean that Ukraine is behind the attack.

Recall that on March 10, technical problems were observed in the operation of the social network X. As of 10:00 am, about 40,000 users reported problems with the social network, according to Downdetector.

After that, the number of complaints about the social network decreased, but by noon it had risen again to about 35,000.

Musk later said that his social network was experiencing a large-scale cyberattack, in which a well-coordinated group of hackers was involved.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 3, the Polish authorities announced that the IT infrastructure of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) had been hacked.

We also wrote that at the end of January this year, Russian hackers carried out a large-scale cyberattack on the Ukrainian agricultural holding Myronivskyi Hlibproduct (MHP).
