Russia attacks Kyiv with drones at night, air defense was working in capital
On the evening of March 10, russia attacked Kyiv with strike drones, explosions were heard in the capital, and an air alert was declared.
This was reported in the Telegram of the Kyiv City Military Administration and the channel of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"Air defense forces are working to eliminate the threat in the sky over Kyiv. Stay in shelters, follow all safety rules until the alarm is lifted," the message said at 11:34 pm.
A few minutes later, Klitschko clarified that the air defense forces were working on the left bank and the Holosiyivskyi district of the capital.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Monday, March 10, russian troops launched 176 strike drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 130 of them, another 42 drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).
On the night of March 8, the russians launched 3 missiles of various types and 145 strike UAVs over Ukraine, the air defense forces shot down a cruise missile and 79 drones, 54 UAVs were lost in location.
Meanwhile, Syrskyi reported that in February, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces hit and destroyed 22% more enemy targets than in January.
