In February, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit and destroyed 22% more enemy targets than in January.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I heard the reports of the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces on the development of capabilities, the results of combat work of unmanned systems units, as well as on the implementation of tasks for the formation and scaling of Unmanned Systems Forces units. In February, 22% more enemy targets were hit and destroyed compared to January," he said.
Syrskyi noted that Ukrainian FPV drones and multirotor bombers are the most effective at inflicting damage on the enemy.
He emphasized that unmanned systems have become one of the most important elements of modern warfare – they are constantly developing, hold the front or move it forward, help save the lives of soldiers, destroy the personnel and equipment of the russian aggressor.
Syrskyi also noted that there is an urgent need to introduce a single standard for the operation of unmanned systems in all units to improve coordination during the performance of combat missions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early February, Syrskyi announced that in January, Ukrainian drones hit or destroyed 7% more targets than in December. According to him, in January, 66% of russian equipment was disabled precisely as a result of the operation of strike UAVs of various types.
