US will not recognize occupied territories as part of russia - Honcharenko
The United States does not plan to recognize Ukrainian territories as russian and will not consider the possibility of concessions in favor of the russian federation.
This was stated by the MP of Ukraine Oleksii Honcharenko on March 7.
According to him, Washington legally considers the entire territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and does not intend to recognize any "territorial changes" in favor of russia.
"No ideas of the russian federation that we should legally give up our lands or that we should withdraw from Zaporizhzhia or Kherson at all will be neither supported nor even discussed by the United States," the MP stressed.
Honcharenko also noted that the Donald Trump administration does not intend to recognize the occupied territories as part of the russian federation.
He called on not to succumb to provocative headlines in the Western media and assured that no one is going to "surrender Ukraine or give up our territories."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 6, White House National Security Advisor Mike Volz said that he plans to discuss a ceasefire plan and the framework of a peace agreement with the Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia next week.
