Trump tells Congress that the US will get Greenland "one way or the other"
US President Donald Trump told Congress that he believes the US will get Greenland "one way or the other".
So, Trump said he had "a message for the incredible people of Greenland".
"We strongly support your right to determine your own future. And if you choose, we welcome you into the United States of America", he said.
"We need Greenland for national security and even international security. And we’re working with everybody involved to try and get it... And I think we’re going to get it — one way or the other, we’re going to get it," Trump added.
He also said the US would make Greenland rich and secure.
" And together, we will take Greenland to heights like you have never thought possible before," Trump said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump also told Congress that he had received an official letter from Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which stated Ukraine's readiness to negotiate peace, as well as its agreement to sign a mineral agreement.
