Defensive initiative in area of Pokrovsk on AFU side — DeepState

The fighting in recent weeks shows that in the area of Pokrovsk in the west of the Donetsk Region, the Defense Forces of Ukraine hold the defensive initiative. This is, in particular, due to the deterioration of the logistical situation for the occupiers on this section of the front.

Analysts of the Ukrainian DeepState project expressed this opinion.

According to OSINT analysts, the activity of the russian troops' advance on the Pokrovsk axis has decreased. This is due to a decrease in the number of assault actions by the enemy.

DeepState noted that the counterattacks of the Ukrainian military played an important role, which made it possible to regain control over a number of positions. This forced the russians to direct their efforts to restore lost positions, rather than to new assault actions.

The analysts added that as a result of the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Pokrovsk, another "blue zone" appeared. DeepState marks the territories recaptured from the enemy by the Ukrainian military in blue on its interactive map.

It is claimed that the russians are currently having problems with logistics in the area of Pokrovsk.

"Logistical problems include difficulties with personnel rotations, evacuation of the seriously wounded, transportation of medical supplies, medicine, food, etc. You can also often see assault operations using cars, motor-blocks, and logistics on donkeys and horses. This has begun to turn into a systematic approach, which reflects a certain state of affairs of the occupiers," the report says.

At the same time, DeepState emphasized that the occupiers still have the ability to conduct numerous infantry attacks and exhaust the Ukrainian military.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on one of the front lines in the Donetsk Region, the Ukrainian military captured a serviceman of the russian army. He turned out to be a resident of West Africa, recruited to participate in the war against Ukraine.
