President's Office preparing to introduce contracts for mobilized people - President's Office deputy head Palisa
The Office of the President is preparing to introduce contracts for mobilized people with a clear term of service.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa said this on the air of a telethon, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We are working on a contract for mobilized people... This is still a stage of development and research, but the most important thing, in my opinion, is what this contract can give to people who are mobilized and already serve, who came voluntarily, not voluntarily - it makes no difference, they receive clear terms of service," he said.
For example, according to him, citizens who were mobilized in 2022 will receive a conditional term after which they will be released in 6 months, those who in 2023 - 9-10 months, those who in 2024, having signed a contract, will be able to be released after another certain period, receiving bonuses.
"We must understand that this will become possible when certain conditions are created, we cannot bare the front, deprive the combat element of the ability to perform the task. Actually, a large team of people is working on creating these conditions," he said.
Palisa also reported that in addition to introducing a contract for 18-24 year olds, the President's Office is still working on introducing other contracts for people who are not subject to mobilization, for involvement in the Armed Forces of Ukraine at their own request, in particular for those who have been discharged from military service, those who have the right to a deferment, for those on reserve.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense officially launched the "Contract 18-24" project - an initiative for volunteers aged 18-24 who are ready to join the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The 1-year contract provides for a reward of UAH 1 million, the possibility of a "zero" mortgage, education at state expense, free medical care, in particular, dental prosthetics, the right to travel abroad after a year of service, guaranteed exemption from mobilization for 12 months after the end of the contract.
In December, Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havryliuk reported that a bill on demobilization has already been developed, but it is currently impossible to carry out demobilization.
