Russian army massively attacks Ukraine with drones. Air defense shoots down 103 of 176 enemy drones
On the night of Tuesday, February 18, the russian troops launched 176 drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 103 of them, another 67 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of February 18 (from 7 p.m. on February 17), the enemy attacked with 176 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from six directions: Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all – russia) and the TOT of Crimea.
"As of 09:00 a.m., the shooting down of 103 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types has been confirmed in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv Regions," the report says.
At the same time, 67 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences).
The Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Cherkasy Regions suffered as a result of the enemy attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of February 17, the russians launched 147 drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 83 of them, another 59 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
At night, russian drones attacked Kyiv, and debris hit it, causing a fire in the Sviatoshynskyi District.
