6 Zuzana self-propelled guns and shells for Gepard. Germany announces new aid package

The new aid package for Ukraine, which Germany will transfer to Kyiv, includes shells for air defense and six Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns. The self-propelled guns are being transferred in partnership with Norway.

The press service of the German government has reported this.

The full list of what Norway is transferring is as follows:

• 56 mine-resistant ambush protected vehicles (MRAP);
• ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks;
• ammunition for the Marder infantry fighting vehicle;
• 41,000 shells for the Gepard air defense system;
• shells for the IRIS-T SLM and IRIS-T SLS air defense systems;
• six Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns;
• 50,000 155 mm artillery rounds;
• 2,000 122 mm rounds;
• 300 HF-1 combat drones;
• 51 Vector reconnaissance drones with spare parts;
• 245 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones;
• 29 Songbird reconnaissance drones;
• 14 Hornet XR reconnaissance drones;
• two WISENT 1 demining vehicles with spare parts;
• 16 mine trawlers;
• 645 laser rangefinders;
• eight border guard vehicles;
• 74 40 mm cartridges;
• 100 MG5 machine guns;
• 2,915 HK 416 assault rifles;
• 900 MK 556 assault rifles;
• 64 HLR 338 precision rifles with 314,000 cartridges;
• 160 CR 308 rifles;
• 73 AK-47 assault rifles;
• over 60 million rounds of ammunition for small arms.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the German government is ready to send its armed forces to participate in a possible peacekeeping mission that could be deployed on the territory of Ukraine after a ceasefire.
