The Ministry of Energy notes that russian attacks on critical energy infrastructure, especially nuclear facilities, are absolutely unacceptable. Any violation of the integrity of protective barriers, power supply systems, or monitoring equipment can have serious consequences not only for Ukraine, but also for the entire region.

"Ukraine calls for urgent action by the international community to combat the unprecedented act of Russian nuclear terrorism. The attack on the Arch of the Chernobyl NPP Unit 4 shelter poses a threat to the entire continent," added Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the IAEA reported that a russian strike drone with a high-explosive warhead hit the shelter covering the destroyed Unit 4 at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. The structure was damaged.
