MP Hetmantsev expecting Tax Service to exceed budget by USD 4 billion

Danylo Hetmantsev, a Verkhovna Rada Member from the Servant of the People faction, chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, expects the State Tax Service to exceed the budget by USD 4 billion.

He said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.

"I believe that there are all the necessary prerequisites for a significant exceeding of the plans proven by the Ministry of Finance due to de-shadowing. If in 2023 we exceeded the planned due to de-shadowing by USD 1.5 billion, in 2024 - by USD 2.5 billion, then in 2025, even on the inertia of the de-shadowing measures that were introduced, the exceeding should be significantly greater, even if we simply maintain the progression - about USD 4 billion," he said.

He emphasized that the success of the new head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, will be considered the continuation of the systemic changes that have taken place in the Tax Service over the past three years, in particular, the digitalization of processes.

According to Hetmantsev, the budget exceeding for January, which Kravchenko reported on, is the result of the work of the previous team.

At the same time, the MP does not deny the potential of the new head and expressed confidence that he will be able to maintain the dynamics and ensure a significant budget exceeding.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 31, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed the former head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, as the head of the State Tax Service.
