British intelligence publishes chart of russian losses by month of war
In February 2025, the average daily number of russian losses is likely to exceed 1,000 people, which is a reflection of the high pace of the aggressor's offensive actions. Meanwhile, the last two months have become the most expensive for russia in terms of the number of losses.
The UK Ministry of Defense has reported this.
It is noted that January 2025 is likely to be the second month of the war for russia in terms of losses - according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian losses amounted to 48,240 people (killed and wounded). Meanwhile, 48,670 russian losses were recorded in December 2024, the first in terms of losses for all months of the war for russia.
Thus, russia is likely to have suffered more than 50,000 in losses in 2025, and since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 - more than 837,000 in losses.
January 2025 also saw the second-highest average daily russian casualties in the russian-Ukrainian conflict – 1,556 people per day, according to the General Staff reports. It is not much different from the December 2024 figure – 1,570 people on average per day, which is the highest figure for the entire conflict.
"In February 2025, the average daily number of Russian casualties is likely to continue to exceed 1,000 people, which will reflect the high pace of Russian operations and offensive actions," the report says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian paratroopers captured 21 servicemen of the army of the aggressor state russia in the Kursk Oblast.
