Grossi names two reasons why nuclear accident could occur in Ukraine

A nuclear accident at the Kyiv power plant could occur due to a disruption in power supply or as a result of a direct attack on the plant.

This was reported by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi in his X-account on Tuesday, February 4.

During his visit to Ukraine, Grossi visited the Kyiv power substation. According to him, this substation is of crucial importance for the nuclear safety of the state.

"A nuclear accident could occur as a result of a direct attack on the station, as well as due to a disruption in power supply," Grossi said.
