Novoshakhtinsk refinery in Rostov Oblast of russia suspends work, equipment damaged - CCD
The Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery, located in the Rostov Oblast of the aggressor country of russia, has suspended its work. Damage to equipment was recorded there as a result of attacks.
This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andrii Kovalenko in his Telegram channel.
"The Novoshakhtinsk Refinery, located in the Rostov Oblast of the russian federation, has now suspended its work after the attacks," he wrote.
According to Kovalenko, in 2024 the refinery processed, according to various estimates, from 3 million tons of oil, although it can process 7.5 million tons, but attacks prevented it from working at full capacity.
Currently, the equipment is damaged there.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Reuters reported, citing five unnamed sources, that at least three oil refineries in the aggressor country of russia were forced to stop or reduce production. The reason for this was Western sanctions, the high cost of borrowing, and Ukrainian drone strikes.
Recall that in July 2024 it became known that Ukrainian strikes caused the collapse of oil refining in Russia.
