Russia attacks Ukraine with ballistic missiles and 57 UAVs: air defense forces shoot down 29 drones

On the night of January 29, the russians attacked the territory of Ukraine with 57 Shahed drones and simulator drones, as well as an Iskander-M ballistic missile. The air defense forces shot down 29 UAVs, another 14 were lost in the field.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reported this.

Thus, from 7:30 p.m. on January 28 and during the night of January 29, the enemy attacked with 57 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia, Chauda - Crimea, as well as an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea.

As of 9:30 a.m., according to preliminary data, 29 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types were confirmed to have been shot down in the following regions:

"14 enemy drone simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences). The Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Sumy Regions were affected by the enemy attack," the report says.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in Kyiv, after a hostile drone attack in the Desnianskyi District, debris was recorded falling in an open area, grass and bushes caught fire.

Also, in the capital, drone debris was found near a metro station in the Darnytskyi District.

In addition, on the night of January 29, russian occupiers attacked the Izmail district of the Odesa Region with drones. The enemy's target was the port infrastructure. There was damage to buildings, but no casualties.
