Russian army at night struck at already destroyed thermal power plant

On the night of January 20, the russian occupiers attacked a previously destroyed thermal power plant. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling, specialists are clearing the rubble.

"Despite the fact that the plant was completely destroyed earlier, the enemy attacked it again this night," the message says.

It is indicated that there were no casualties as a result of the attack. After the shelling, specialists began clearing the rubble.

It is reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the thermal power plant, the company has been subjected to more than 50 attacks. Total losses from previous attacks already exceed EUR 250 million, while the assessment of damage is still ongoing.

"In the spring of 2024, Centrenergo became the only company that was forced to completely stop generation due to massive attacks," Centrenergo added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of January 20, air defense forces shot down 93 out of 141 enemy UAVs, and another 47 simulator drones were lost in location.
