State budget receives UAH 11.1 billion from privatization in 2024 - SPFU
In 2024, the state budget received UAH 11.1 billion from privatization, of which UAH 9.9 billion is the price of asset sales and UAH 1.2 billion is VAT.
This is stated in the message of the State Property Fund (SPFU), the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"In 2022, due to a full-scale invasion, the auctions were suspended until September, which led to a decrease in indicators. But in 2024, the SPFU managed to set a new record for privatization revenues and almost double 2021," the report said.
Over 10 years, from 2015 to 2024, the state budget of Ukraine received more than UAH 26.6 billion from privatization (excluding VAT).
At the same time, over the three years of full-scale invasion, revenues from the sale of state assets exceeded the total indicators for the previous seven years by 10%.
The report says that in 2024, almost UAH 3.5 billion was received from the sale of small-scale privatization objects.
The most expensive lot was the Kozatskyi hotel.
It was purchased for UAH 400 million, which is equivalent to the total privatization result for 2015-2016.
Last year, the State Property Fund of Ukraine returned to large-scale privatization.
It is noted that UAH 6.45 billion of budget revenues was brought by two sold large assets, namely the Ukraine Hotel in Kyiv and JSC United Mining and Chemical Company.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the end of November 2024, the State Property Fund reported that it received UAH 9.26 billion from privatization, which is 2.3 times more than the revenue plan included in the state budget.
The state budget for 2024 included UAH 4 billion in revenues from privatization.
